MCGEHEE PLACE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION COVENANT RESTRICTIONS
The McGehee Place subdivision is governed by protective covenants, which are
enforceable by law. All homeowners should have a copy of these as part of their
deed/abstract. Significant restrictions are summarized as follows:
No lot shall be used except for residential purposes.
Noxious or offensive trade or activity, which would be an annoyance or nuisance to
the neighborhood is prohibited.
No sign of any kind shall be displayed to the public on any lot except professional
signs of a specified size advertising the property for sale or rent.
NOTE: THIS PROHIBITS SIGNS FOR POLITICAL CANDIDATES
Only dogs, cats, or other household pets are allowed provided they are not kept,
bred, or maintained for commercial purposes.
The Architectural Review Committee in writing, prior to initiating construction,
must approve all modifications to existing residences. This includes changing
exterior paint colors. No building shall be erected or placed on any lot until the
Architectural Review Committee has approved the construction plans and
specifications showing the location of the structure in writing.
NOTE: THIS RESTRICTION APPLIES TO STORAGE SHEDS OR SIMILAR TYPE STRUCTURES
Satellite antenna disks must be located in the rear or side yard of residences and
screened from view of the street.
Any fencing, walls, or landscaping on individual lots must be free and clear of any
obstruction, which would hinder the flow of surface water drainage.
No house trailer, camper, boat, dune buggy, any other vehicle, except a family-type
automobile shall be parked or maintained on any permanent basis on the right of
way or in front of any lot. Such vehicles must be kept within the parking pad or
within the area to the rear of the house screened from outside view. The residents’
car and trucks must never be parked on the street on a permanent basis but must
be in a garage, carport, or parking pad.
Each homeowner is required to maintain the exterior of his property in a manner
harmonious with other homes in the neighborhood, which would include home
repairs, painting, yard maintenance, etc.…
